Jera provides data-driven fine wine valuation and lending services for private collectors, restaurant owners and wine professionals. The service enables owners of valuable wine collections to use their wines as collateral, providing access to liquidity without requiring the collection to be sold.

Wine collections can be uploaded through Jera’s platform for real-time valuations, forecasts and indicative lending terms. Loans are typically offered at 50–60% loan-to-value, with a minimum loan amount of £100,000 and potential borrowing of £3 million or more.

Once a loan is approved, wines can remain stored in approved, secure, climate-controlled bonded storage partners. After authentication, funds are transferred directly to the client’s bank account.

For collectors, this can provide capital to expand a collection or pursue other financial goals while retaining ownership of the wines. For restaurants and wine businesses, it can release capital tied up in stock, helping finance wine-list development, future vintages and further inventory growth.

Jera can also assist clients wishing to sell wine during the loan period, using its network of buyers and industry partners to help secure an appropriate market price.
